The 2 stars are for the beautiful plants and nice people Ive interacted with at Jared's. The missing 3 stars is for the rude, passive aggressive lady I encountered on the phone today. I purchased a hydrangea with a warranty. It ended up snowing while I was out of town and wiped them out. I simply called to ask about the process of getting a replacement. Im told I have to send a photo to see if it can be salvaged. Fine. I ask her to wait as Im driving and Im met with "I dont understand why people call in while theyre driving". Because its 2026 and I have hands free? With that remark, I decided Ill with trash the dead hydrangeas and cut my losses. To whomever I spoke with: I dont care how old you are, you have no idea what people are going through in their lives and a little kindness goes a long way. Especially as a small business. The attitude I encountered today is the type of attitude that deters people from wanting to try gardening. So ma'am, thank you for chipping a little more away from my faith in humanity. Im really envious that your life is comfortable enough to find it acceptable to treat strangers calling your business for help in that way. Best of luck. 👏🏻 Terrible attem

Jared's has so many fun things to browse besides their wonderful selection of live plants to choose from!! Sculptures, knick knacks, yard decorations, bird houses and a very cool pond inside their building containing a couple of turtles, fish and maybe a frog? A little pricey but what isn't these days and they have lots of unique gifts to choose from as well. Worth the trip to check them out!

Went to Jared's for the first time in April. This place is expansive and has a HUGE selection of plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, compost, soil, pots and anything else you can imagine for your garden. Do you want a giant bear or dragon for your yard? Or a miniature Stonehenge? Jared's has that! They also have friendly, helpful staff and an air-conditioned checkout room that you'll appreciate on a hot day. The reason for four stars instead of five is the pricing - don't expect big box or Mom-and-Pop hardware store prices. We bought some small garden plants that look healthy (jalapeno, shishito, tomatoes) and weren't too much more than you'll find elsewhere, but couldn't afford some of the other items we would have liked to get there. As an example, their 4"x10' metal garden edging was $27 per piece; it looked thick and sturdy but is $7-$10 more per piece than what I found at the two big-box lumber stores that I was trying to avoid. (I try to support locally-owned stores whenever I can but it's not always financially possible.) If you're looking for an incredible selection of high-quality nursery items, plenty of room to browse and great customer service, Jared's is the place to go!

We got the most perfect corn plant for our office and we are in love! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.

UPDATED 11/23/2024: Another season, more trash. Updated winter photos attached. Buckets and planters and plastic. No recent windstorms to blame. These have been here for months and are consistent with other photos from other seasons. ORIGINAL POST: Great garden center and products, but they let all the trash from their property and the company they lease land to blow in to the open space behind them. They never clean it up. It’s a constant problem, regardless of the season (see photos from multiple periods throughout the year). We’ve talked to them about it a few times, but they never seem to take it that seriously.
